I had to chuckle Ken when I read "No such plan has been approved, nor will it be". As if a plan must be approved to be put in place. It's weasely, a bit of double speak sort of, but all too common. Falls into the realm of plausible deniability, I suppose. Or just good old fashioned BS.

I enjoy your posts. I don't agree with everything (and I also don't follow all the issues you raise, so I don't really have an informed opinion on everything), but we do share a sensibility - and your way of expressing is tops. Happy New Year, or at least [Fill In The Blank] New Year.

Well yeah, every time these guys get caught, they'll say something like, "We're having our people look into it," or, "Keeping Canadians safe is our highest priority." It all means exactly what you said - good ol' BS.

Thanks for the encouragement, and I wish you whatever kind of new year you'd like as well (if you believe in years)...

I sort of say Happy New Year as a custom. Calendars are fun (and fun to read the history of) but they're arbitrary. Could start a new year in July. That might be fun. And actually, I believe a new year starts every day. :)
