This is the second time in two months that Canada's Federal Court has ruled decisions by the Trudeau government to be "unreasonable and unconstitutional". At least they got those two.
(It does not state anything about constitutionality, lol)
Hard to believe you worked this hard on writing an article without, apparently, spending 5 minutes to understand what it is exactly you're writing about.
I'd like to see the courts act much faster and keep things simple.
Court: Everyone, we're using the K.I.S.S. method in court today. Counsel, you each have thirty seconds for opening statements to make your case and show me which statute you're charging, then Prosecution you'll have two minutes per witness, Defense gets three. Maximum of three witnesses per side. This case will be tried and verdict rendered TODAY, understood?
When any judge gets overturned on appeal more than twice, he/she/xi is removed from the bench.
Keep the dockets clear so decisions (and justice) are timely and concise.
The likelyhood of this biting Trpudeau in the nether regions is remote if we are to sit and wait for the SCC to rule. That's assuming they will accept this to rule on. However, Freelander will be pushing because it is such a black eye for anyone in caucus, including her. Lametti saw the writing and did the dishonorable thing and quit.
Apparently, there will be an appeal, because SCC needs to accept that for this kind of case. It probably won't affect Trudeau even if it does make it to court before the Cons cancel it, but there is precedent now from the FederalCourt, which will certainly affect future governments' use of this tool.
Freelandrescher has demonstrated that there are hills even she refuses to die on. She needs to take a good hard serious look at how her boss reacts to outcomes such as this one. He has consistently demonstrated that even the welfare of his wife and kids means nothing to him. Now she needs to ask herself: how long does she think she's going to be able to hold out before he decides to throw her in front of the speeding train to save his own arse? Because sooner or later, she's going to be his chosen scapegoat.
Did you even read the ruling?

Yes, it will certainly put a large pin in their collective balloon should they wish to trample on everybody's rights again.
